100 year old table needing 3" added to leg length. I have done some tlc and tightened some joints, replaced glue blocks, etc. Turnings to add to leg are done. Need to cut legs and drill sockets for the tenons of the new pieces to be added. Remove metal sleeves from former casters and plug them up. I also have two of the table leafs that have some dents and scratches to address as well.

I love the grain on the back side and how it forms a diamond. Finished with 6 coats of mineral oil.

Xmas deadlines coming fast....

Robertson table underway. Taking a 100 year old dining table and adding 3 inches to each leg, sprucing up and making pretty.... for another 100 years.

I think over the holidays I may redo my tablesaw station, outfeed and under table storage.

Pocket hole plug cutter

Someone recently asked me to post my jig for making pocket hole plugs. I cut them on the bandsaw. The jig glides on the bandsaw's fence. Using a 3/8" dowel first cut the 15 degree angle by placing the dowel in the grooveon the bottom right. Slide the jig on the fence and cutting the dowel. Next place the piece of dowel you just cut off in the matching angle "mouth" up and to the left of the groove we just used. This cuts the back angle of the plug. 

Super easy to use makes quick work of a length of dowel and I don't remember how many plugs per 36" dowel but I cut up a bunch whenever I need to and store the extras for next time.
